Khatti Meethi Dal Recipe

Ingredients for Khatti Meethi Dal Recipe in Hindi

अरहर दाल – 1/2 कप (Pigeon pea)
मूंगफली – 1/4 कप (Peanut)
हरी मिर्च – 2 (Green chilli)
टमाटर – 1/2 कप (बारीक़ कटा हुआ) (Tomato)
अदरक – 1/2 T spoon (कद्दूकस किया हुआ) (Ginger)
चीनी या गुड – 1 Table spoon (Sugar or jaggery)
हल्दी – 1/4 T spoon (Turmeric powder)
लाल मिर्च पाउडर – 1 T spoon (Red chilli powder)
कड़ी पत्ता – 10 – 12 (Curry leaves)
राय – 1/2 T spoon (Mustard seeds)
सूखी लाल मिर्च – 2 (Dry red chilli)
निम्बू का रस – 1 Table spoon (Lemon juice)
जीरा – 1/2 T spoon (Cumin seeds)
मेथी के दाने – 1/4 T spoon (Fenugreek seeds)
हींग – 1 pinch (Asafoetida)
नमक – स्वादानुसार (Salt)
तेल – अवयस्कता अनुसार (Oil)
धनिया पत्ता – Table spoon (बारीक़ कटा हुआ) (Coriander leaves)

How to Make Khatti Meethi Dal Recipe – विधि

★ दाल को धो कर कुकर में डाले और उसमे अवसक्ता अनुसार पानी डाल कर 3 – 4 विजल आने तक उबाल लीजिए. मूंगफली को भी उबाल लीजिए.

★ अब कड़ाई में तेल डाल कर गरम कीजिये. अब उसमे राय, जीरा, मेथी के दाने, सूखी लाल मिर्च डाल कर भून लीजिये. अदरक, हरी मिर्च, कड़ी पत्ता, हींग डाल कर पकाये. उसके बाद टमाटर और मूंगफली डाल कर टमाटर नरम होने तक पकाये.

★ अब उबला हुआ दाल को अछि तरह मैश कर लीजिये.

★ अब मैश किया हुआ दाल, हल्दी, नमक, लाल मिर्च पाउडर, गुड या चीनी डाल कर अछि तरह मिला लीजिये. अब १ कप पानी डाल कर 10 मिनट तक पकाये. अब दाल थोड़ा गाड़ा होने के बाद धनिया पत्ता और निम्बू का रस मिलाकर गैस बन्द कर लीजिये. गरमा गरम खट्टा मीठा दाल तैयार.

Khatti Meethi Dal Recipe In English

★ Wash pigeon peas, put it in cooker add sufficient water and cook for 3 to 4 whistles. Boil peanuts.

★ Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, dry red chilli and fry. Add ginger, green chilli, curry leaves, asafoetida and cook. Now add tomatoes, peanuts and cook till tomatoes become soft.

★ Mash boiled pigeon peas.

★ Now add mashed pigeon peas, turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, sugar or jaggery and mix well. Add 1 cup of water and cook for 10 mins. After dal becomes slightly thick add coriander leaves, lemon juice then switch off the gas. Khatti Meethi Dal is ready.
